This page fits an ellipse to the numerically computed boundary of the extra-credit string locus from the Mar 20, 2026 Fiddler. The ellipse is a good visual approximation but not an exact solution.
Best-fit ellipse (least squares):
\[ \frac{x^2}{4.2518^2}+\frac{y^2}{3.9204^2}=1 \]
Center \((0.00007, 0)\), mean normal error \(\approx 0.010\), max error \(\approx 0.024\) (units).
